the family processes (including familycohesion, family communication, family copingstrategies and family problem skills as predictors ofbehavior problems among second grade high schoolstudents in Yasuoj. The sample included 590 secondgrade from high school students who were selectedby cluster random sampling from among 38 maleand female high schools. The students completedAchenbach Youth Self-Report Scale(YSR). Thestudents whose scores of YSR were upper than onestandard deviation above the mean were classifiedasbehavior problem group and students whose scoresof YSR was lower than one standard deviation frommean was classifiedas without behavior problemgroup. Therefore the students of the two groupscompleted Self-report Family Processes Scale (SFPscale). The results of discriminant showed that linearcomposition of family processes can predict thebehavior problems among second grade high schoolstudents in Yasuoj.

The aim of the present study was toinvestigate meta-cognitive beliefs in normal and giftedstudents. 60 male students (in 2 groups of 30) wererandomly selected. The research hypothesis was this:There is a significant difference in meta-cognitivebeliefs between gifted and normal students. To test theresearch hypothesis, the meta-cognitive questionnairewith 30 questions was administered. The data wereanalyzed using independent t-test. The results of thestudy indicated that there is significant difference inmeta-cognitive beliefs of gifted and normal students. Itwas also found that the two groups of students aresignificantly different with regard to micro-factors ofcognitive self-awareness. However, no significantdifference was found between the members of the twogroups regarding cognitive confidence factors, positivebeliefs about anxiety and negative beliefs aboutuncontrobaility and risk. It seems that due to higherlevels of IQ, gifted students are trying to closely controltheir mental behavior, and as a result of this, enjoyhigher standards of self awareness. It seems, however, that the components of positive and negative beliefs aswell as cognitive confidence are independent of IQ
