Objective: Students of every society are efficient and future makers of every country. In order to identify the factors related to academic resilience, the present research was conducted with the aim of finding a causal model of academic resilience based on personal intelligence with the mediation of religious orientation in secondary school students.

Methods: The present research method was descriptive and correlational. The statistical population included all second year high school students in Ardabil city in 2022. 200 of these people were selected from the above statistical population using available sampling and responded to the scales of academic resilience, religious orientation and personal intelligence. SPSS 25 and smartpls.4 software were used to analyze the collected data.

Results: The results showed that personal intelligence directly and indirectly and with the mediation of religious orientation play a role in academic resilience. Model fit indices also indicate that the model is desirable.

Conclusion: In general, the results of this study are in addition to the fundamental achievements that can be applied in education organizations and counseling centers.
