The purpose of the present study was to investigate the effect of jigsaw teaching methods on mathematics self-efficacy and mathematics anxiety in statistics and modeling lesson among second-grade high school students of humanities. The research was an experimental study with control group pretest-posttest design. The population included all the second-grade high school female students of humanities in Urmia. Using multi-stage cluster sampling, the sample was selected (n=36) and assigned into an experimental and a control group. The control group was taught using conventional teaching method by the teacher while the experimental group was taught through cooperative learning methodology by the researcher. At the end of ten sessions of treatment, the previously employed mathematics efficacy scale and mathematics anxiety scale were re-administered on both groups as posttest. To measure the variables, we used mathematics self-efficacy scale by Ghanbarzadeh Alamdari and mathematics anxiety scale by Pelic and Packer. To analyze the data, we used factor analysis multivariate covariance (MANCOVA). As the results revealed, cooperative learning teaching method focusing on jigsaw technique was very effective on the students’ mathematics efficacy and reducing math anxiety.
